I suppose if you’re going to have 2 weddings, it’s only appropriate to have 2 blogs posts, right?!
I have known Meghan since my freshman year of college, she was a best friend to Liz, my roommate. Meghan, who is clearly stunning, is also one of the most beautiful people I have ever met, inside and out. When I officially launched my photography website early last year, she contacted me immediately about photographing her 2014 wedding <this is not a typo>.
We discussed how I was still working on my portfolio and I had never actually done a reception, to which she replied “I love your work, and I would be thrilled to help you build your portfolio.” Being given such a vote of confidence without hesitation was incredible! Fast forward a month, and I received another email that her venue had unexpectedly opened up, and she would be getting married on August 31st, 2013!
Meghan and Blair actually ended up having two ceremonies, one at Saint Pacifus Church in Buffalo, and the other at Becker Farms. The intimate church ceremony was attended by family and close friends on the afternoon of August 30th, 2013. Meghan wore her thrift store J-Crew Wedding dress, a handful of relatives did readings, and everyone shared communion.
The group celebrated afterwards by gathering at the general store up the street that opened up just for the newlyweds. Everyone continued the celebration at the rehearsal dinner and throughout the night, gearing up for the rest of the wedding weekend festivities!
The "love conquers all" sign was a perfectly appropriate find at the after-party! Stayed tuned in the upcoming weeks for Meghan and Blair's wedding part 2!
